Solid brass animal knobs that make a child’s drawer something to reach for
These are single-hole cabinet knobs cast as a car, a bear, a paw print and a heart, in solid brass with a brushed natural finish, sealed under a clear lacquer. Each one sits on a short threaded post, so a single machine screw from inside the door is all that holds it. They are sized for small hands — 31 to 39 mm across — and they turn a plain white chest of drawers or a built-in cupboard into something a child actually wants to open.
Why solid brass in a child’s room
- Survives being pulled, hung on and dropped — solid brass dents rather than snapping, unlike die-cast zinc or plastic.
- Solid brass, not plated zinc — the metal under the clear lacquer is brass all the way through, so a knock cannot expose a different metal underneath.
- Warm to the touch — brass does not feel cold or sharp the way thin stamped steel does.
- Rounded outlines — the shapes are cast with soft edges, so there are no burrs where a hand grips.
- Holds its tone — a clear lacquer keeps the brushed gold from darkening between cleanings, so a matched set stays matched.

Four designs
The car is the widest of the small shapes at 38 mm and reads instantly at a glance. The bear is the largest overall at 39 mm, with two rounded ears and a raised muzzle that gives small fingers something to grip. The paw print is 32 mm with four separate toe pads, so it catches the light in sections. The heart is 31 mm and the simplest outline, which makes it the easiest to wipe clean and the least likely to look out of place as a child grows up.
One hole, one screw
Each knob has a threaded brass post on the back, 10–11 mm across. Drill one hole for the screw, pass the screw through from inside the drawer front and thread it into the post, then turn the knob until it sits flat. That means these replace any existing single-hole knob without redrilling, and there is no second hole to line up. If you are starting from a bare drawer front, one hole per knob is all you need.

Installation
One M5 × 25 mm machine screw comes with each knob. Mark the position, drill a pilot hole the diameter of the screw, push the screw through from the inside of the door and thread it into the brass post. Hold the knob square to the edge while you tighten so the design sits straight. Snug is enough — the post is brass and over-tightening can mark a soft painted finish. If your drawer front is thicker than the screw suits, tell us the thickness and we will send the right length.
Care
Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth and buff with a soft cloth. The brass is sealed under a clear lacquer, so it holds the tone it arrives with. Do not use metal polish, abrasive pads, bleach or ammonia cleaners on it — polish will cut through the lacquer and leave patchy, dull areas that cannot be brought back evenly.
