Description

Crystal cabinet knobs that catch the light — ten cut-glass shapes on a solid brass base

These are single-hole crystal knobs: a cut-glass body set into a solid brass collar, with a threaded socket in the base so the knob fixes from inside the door. The glass carries the pattern and the light; the brass takes the daily pull of fingers, which is the part that wears first. Ten shapes run from a plain polished dome to a fluted chrysanthemum and a tall gourd, so one design can be repeated across a whole kitchen or mixed drawer by drawer. Sold as a single knob, with an M4 × 16 mm screw.

Why crystal glass on a solid brass base

  • Cut glass, not moulded plastic — the facets are cut, so edges stay crisp; acrylic softens the pattern until it reads flat.
  • Substance in the hand — crystal glass has real density, so a drawer feels solid when you pull it instead of hollow.
  • Refraction — light breaks inside the glass and throws small highlights onto the door; that is where the depth comes from.
  • No dull film — glass does not pick up the cloudy patina that plastic develops where fingers repeatedly land.
  • Solid brass collar — the ring the knob is mounted on is solid brass, not a plated ferrule, so the thread and the bearing surface hold up.
  • Brushed finish — a soft satin brass that sits with walnut, oak, painted Shaker and modern slab doors alike.

Clear, champagne or grey?

Clear reads as pure glass: it disappears against white, pale grey and pale blue cabinetry and lets the shape do the work. Champagne carries a warm amber tone that picks up brass, walnut, oak, and dark green or navy paint, throwing a golden glow when light passes through. Grey is the quietest of the three — a smoked, low-contrast tone that suits black, charcoal and concrete-look kitchens, and it is offered on the gourd design.

Ten designs — how to choose

  • Dome — smooth polished dome, 44 mm wide. The quietest option; suits Shaker and flat modern doors.
  • Chrysanthemum — radial fluted petals, 35 mm. Reads as a flower from arm’s length.
  • Disc — low round disc, 36 mm. Sits close to the door, good where a knob must not catch.
  • Octagon — eight-sided cut, 33 mm. Sharper and more geometric.
  • Ball — plain sphere, 28 mm. The smallest and the most classic.
  • Pumpkin — deep vertical ribs, 32 × 39 mm. Tall and tactile.
  • Ingot — wide boat shape, 45 × 24 mm. The widest of the ten; good on wide drawer fronts.
  • Ruffled — irregular ruffled edge, 35 × 29 mm. The most ornamental.
  • Balloon — teardrop with a twist, 35 × 36 mm. Tall with a narrow top.
  • Gourd — double-bulb silhouette, 23 × 49 mm. The tallest, and the easiest to hook a finger around.

Screw length and panel thickness

Each knob comes with one M4 × 16 mm machine screw, sized for cabinet fronts 18–20 mm thick. That covers most kitchen and wardrobe doors and drawer fronts. If your panel is thinner or thicker than that range, tell us the thickness when you order and we will supply the right screw length instead — do not force a short screw into a thick door or a long one into a thin panel.

Where they work

Kitchen cabinet doors and drawers · Dressers and chests · Wardrobes and closet doors · Nightstands · Bathroom vanities and linen cabinets · Sideboards and buffets · Built-in shelving · Furniture upcycles.

Installation & care

Drill a single hole through the door — for a drawer, centre it; for a door, sit it 75–100 mm in from the latch side. Push the screw through from the inside of the door and thread it into the socket in the brass base, then turn the knob until the brass collar sits flat against the wood. Snug only: overtightening can chip the collar edge or crush a soft finish. Wipe the glass with a damp cloth and buff dry; avoid abrasive pads and ammonia cleaners, which dull the facets over time.

FAQ

  • Will one knob be enough? Each order is a single knob; a standard kitchen door or drawer takes one, so count your doors and drawers before ordering.
  • What screw is included? One M4 × 16 mm machine screw, for 18–20 mm cabinet fronts. Other thicknesses are available on request.
  • Will they fit my existing holes? Yes — these are single-hole knobs, so they replace any single-hole knob without redrilling.
  • Do they feel heavy or hollow? Crystal glass has real substance — that is the difference you notice against an acrylic knob.
  • Can I use them in a bathroom? Yes; glass and brass both handle normal bathroom humidity. Wipe dry after cleaning.
  • What if a knob arrives damaged? Contact us with a photo and we will replace it.
