Description
One piece of solid brass rod — bent into a ring with no seam
These rings start as solid brass rod, not steel with a brass-look coating. The rod is formed into a closed circle and polished until the joint disappears — there is no weld bead, no split, no snag point anywhere on the ring. Run a fingertip around the circumference and you will feel one continuous surface. The color you see is the material itself: scratch it, and it is still brass all the way through.
Why solid brass
- Solid brass, not plated — the finish is the metal, inside and out; it cannot chip or peel the way plated rings do
- Truly seamless — a closed, smooth loop with no joint, gentle on leather straps, webbing and cord
- Heavy round wire, 3.5–12 mm — substantial in the hand, from a 4.5 g ring for small keychains to a 380 g ring for large bag frames
- Two finishes — natural brass (polished, bright) and antique brass (hand-darkened, aged look)
- 13 sizes in stock — outer Ø 20–155 mm, inner opening 13–131 mm
- No hardware-store compromise — consistent roundness and a smooth bore, sized for makers
A finish that ages into something better
The natural brass rings arrive bright and unlacquered. Left alone, they slowly deepen into a warm honey-and-brown patina — the look people pay extra for on vintage hardware. Like the patina? Do nothing. Prefer the shine? A quick rub with a brass polish or a lemon-and-salt wipe brings it right back. The antique brass rings carry a darkened, aged finish for a vintage look straight out of the box.
How to choose your size — start with what has to fit through
Think about what passes through the ring: a strap, a cord, a clip, a finger. That measurement is the inner diameter. Inner Ø = Outer Ø − 2 × wire Ø, and every combination is listed in the table below. A 25 mm outer ring with 4 mm wire, for example, has a 17 mm opening. All dimensions are hand-measured with a ±2 mm tolerance, so leave a little slack in tight fits.

Care
Wipe with a soft dry cloth after handling. Natural brass will patina over time — polish it back to a shine with any brass polish if you prefer it bright. Keep antique brass dry and wipe gently; do not polish, or the aged finish will lighten. Avoid prolonged contact with water and salty hands.

FAQ
- Are these rings really seamless? Yes — each ring is a closed loop formed from solid rod with no weld or split. That is why there is no snag point for straps and cord.
- How many rings do I get? Sizes 20–40 mm ship as a pack of 5; sizes 50 mm and up ship as a single ring. The pack size is shown next to each option in the size selector.
- Which size do I need? Measure what has to pass through the ring — that is the inner diameter you need. Inner Ø = Outer Ø − 2 × wire Ø.
- Will the shiny finish tarnish? Natural brass is unlacquered and will gradually darken to a warm patina. It polishes back to bright anytime; or choose the antique finish for a pre-aged look.
- Are the sizes exact? They are hand-measured to a ±2 mm tolerance. If your fit is tight, size up.
